Balloons fill the sky for Sutton on Sea care home residents
Staff and residents release the balloons during Wednesday's Dignity Action Day.
RESIDENTS and staff at Miramar Nursing Home in Sutton on Sea released over 50 balloons to mark Dignity Action Day on Thursday.
The 26 residents and 24 staff members braved the cold and wind to launch the balloon race to see whose travels furthest.
The national action day aims to spread awareness of the importance of dignity for patients in the social care industry.
A tag with the care home’s name and phone number was attached to each and already people have began to call in with their balloon discoveries from around the area.
Miramar care home manager, Viv Bateman, said residents had a great time releasing the balloons and having fun with the helium.
So if you find one of the balloons, get in touch!
