REally nice place, not expensive. Very clean, which is really important. Last but not least friendly people around you.

We’ve just had our third visit to this hotel in less than 3 months – and the reasons are simple.
Good Food – Comfortable accomodation – Helpful and friendly staff
On this visit [November 11/12th ] we stayed in room 53 which was a very well presented double – spotlessly clean, and really well looked after.
Complete with super dooper bathroom too, as per both our previous visits!
Dinner on the first night was, as on previous visits, excellent. The food was freshly cooked, using fresh ingredients and was very well presented – the starters were worthy of particular note.
We normally eat out on the Saturday of our weekend visits, to avoid the wedding parties that are acommodated on those days – however we were left high and dry this weekend so booked Saturday dinner as well.
Once again, the food was very good indeed – with a different table d’hote menu offering great choice and some really nice cooking.
A starter of chicken and pear salad, and the loin of lamb excelled on this ocassion!
The price for a 3 course dinner was £21.50 pp [ if you are not on an inclusinve deal, as we had been for the Friday night meal].
By way of comparison a single main course at a restaurant in Cleethorpes – where we had been earlier in the day was around £17.00
Saturday night dinner service was a bit erratic, but that was due more to the demands of the wedding guests than the willingness of the staff to oblige.
On the whole another great visit – Continues to impress!

oaklands is a very pleasant place to stay and eat the staff are helpful and the grounds are wonderful, i have been the a few times for lunch and the food is excellent, they had no problems taking children to eat and provided high chairs and smaller portions, a lovely place to have lunch.

I have been to this venue on many occasions although I have never needed to stay overnight - I live fairly close by, unfortunately. I have been to a variety of functions during the day and evening from small business meetings through to full blown party functions - including a christmas ball when I was at university. The location is beautiful, so much so that even in winter it is difficult not to walk in the gardens after a meal regardless of the cold. The food has always been of a good quality whatever the function and the service has always been to a high standard. The prices for food, functions and drinks are more than reasonable considering the setting. I have been to many places nowhere near as luxurious as this that were much more expensive. If you get the chance I would suggest visiting this place.

A beautiful Hotel (3 star) I have been to 2 family weddings here and both were great. They didn’t mind us playing football, with balloons, at 2am in the lobby or talking in silly voices from the helium. Also been to functions and was not disappointed.
Many of the guests at the weddings, and family, stayed the night and after the wedding feasts the balloom hosted evening events.
Nestling between the wolds and the mouth of the River Humber is the Village of Laceby and the Oaklands Country House Hotel. Set in 5 acres of parkland the Oaklands was built by the Long Family in 1877 as a private family estate. A £1,000,000 refurbishment programme was completed in March 2005 ensuring that the hotel offers modern facilities whilst still retaining much of the elegance of an English Country House.
The Terrace Suite’s panoramic views of the sweeping lawns and fountain set a mood of peace and tranquillity amidst the landscaped gardens bordered by old oaks and stately elms. (great for wedding photos)
The Laceby Suite re –opened as a conference and function venue in spring 2005 and this self contained suite opens onto a delightful conservatory with private gardens and patio area.
The ambience of the elegant Blue Room with its lovely open fire and carved oak fireplace makes it an ideal venue for smaller boardroom meetings of up to 20 delegates.
The Garden Restaurant and Oaklands bar offer friendly service. A wide selection of A la carte dishes or bar meals complimented by an extensive list of wines , spirits, Beers and liqueurs. The chefs are always happy to assist with any special dietary requirements such as us veggies at dinner dances with set menus.
They also have a nursery with many plants for sale.
A lovely place and setting and the staff and food do not let it down.
