Discover Lincolnshire Weekend events

TOURISM businesses in the county have united to support the Discover Lincolnshire Weekend this Saturday and Sunday - a freebie extravaganza that offers free access to tourist attractions.

Places open include -

Lincoln Cathedral (Saturday only) - Free guided tours will show visitors the skilled craftsmanship which keeps the historic building alive, and point out objects not usually seen by visitors.

Lincoln Castle - get involved in 15th century re-enactments, see a live long bow archery demonstration and explore a Victorian prison.

Rushmoor County Park, North Cockerington (Saturday only with mums free on Sunday) - The park is full of hands on activity for kids plus a café for refreshments.

Manby Motorplex, Manby - spectate or drive vehicles free of charge. All visitors will receive a hot drink on arrival.

Cranwell Aviation Heritage Centre - discover the story of RAF Cranwell and the RAF.

RAF Scampton Museum - short guided tour of the base and museumy.

Alford Five Sailed Windmill & Alford Manor House - free entrance and ground floor rooms feature current art work by Carol Butler.

Batemans Brewery Visitors Centre, Wainfleet - free Brewery Tours at 12.30pm-2pm.
