THE New London Opera Group return for its sixth fun-packed summer tour to Louth with one of Gilbert and Sullivan's most enduringly popular operas.
The Group will give three performances of a new production of Gilbert and Sullivan's ever-popular opera The Gondoliers on Thursday June 18, Friday June 19, and Saturday June 20, at 7.30pm each night.
The Gondoliers is a light-hearted tale of two republican gondoliers whose principles change when they discover one of them is really a king.
Further complications arise when the recently married gondoliers discover the king is already married.
Gilbert's charming plot inspired Sullivan to produce a wonderfully joyful score, filled with sunny Italian and Spanish melodies.
Since 2004, newLOG has built up a popular following in Louth with its special blend of youthful energy, strong musical values and exciting productions.
The Gondoliers promises to continue this tradition and will be a great midsummer treat for all the family.
