Rare footballer autographs at sale

TWO albums of highly collectable autographs of footballers from the 1950s appear in the next sale at John Taylors in Louth.
The albums contain signatures of 26 well known teams including Grimsby Town, Lincoln City, Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn Rovers and Notts County.
Other teams include Sheffield United, West Ham United, Glasgow Celtic, Southampton, Coventry City, Queens Park Rangers, Hull City, Chesterfield, Bradford Park Avenue, Cardiff City and Leeds United.
Also included in the sale are three albums of photographic cards of footballers of the same period, including Bill Shankly when he was with Preston North End, and a 1952 Newcastle v Preston North End programme.
The sale starts at 10am on Tuesday May 20 with viewing on Sunday May 18 from 2-4pm and Monday May 19 from 2-5.30pm.
