EDITOR - I would like to express my thanks to all the motorists who stopped to help a deer which was hit by a car and injured on Churchill Lane corner in Theddlethorpe the other Friday evening.
Unfortunately, the deer was unable to be saved as its injuries were too serious.

Incidents such as these serve to highlight to everyone that these beautiful creatures do roam our fields and highways. We, as motorists, should be vigilant as we travel and be aware we do not have precedence of the roads, to ensure tragedies like this are kept to a minimum.

I would also like to express my thanks to Mr Timson, of Cook and Timson Veterinary Centre in Louth, who was very supportive and compassionate.
Charlie Lister
Theddlethorpe
