COMIC writer and performer Elaine Pantling is bringing her one-woman celebration of one of Britain’s finest ever funny women to Louth.

The tribute to Beryl Reid, Roll Out the Beryl, is at the Riverhead Theatre, on Saturday March 3 at 7.30pm.

Beryl Reid went from her stage debut in a summer season at Bridlington, through the 1950s playing loveable Brummie Marlene in the Educating Archie radio series and appearing in The Belles of St Trinians, to a Tony and Golden Globe award in the late sixties for her performance in The Killing of Sister George.
