Alford Craft Market’s Spring Bank Holiday event Festival of Glass will be held this weekend between 10am and 5pm on all three days.
Held in the characterful Alford Manor House Grounds in West Street right in the centre of the picturesque market town, the craft event offers an opportunity for the public to meet a variety of artisans and makers who will be selling their high quality work over the weekend, to learn a little (or a lot) about their work and to purchase something with personality, a story of skills and talent, something that you won’t find in every shopping centre in the country.
A number of glass-work artists have been especially commissioned to demonstrate their skills during the event.
Antony Wassell will demonstrate glass-blowing, Fyre Birds glass bead making, Gillian Wing and Fiona Radford stained glass and Hazel Graves glass painting.
Workshops will also be available for those who feel inspired to ‘try their hand’ at some of the skills and of course work from these featured artists will also be available for sale.
Entrance to the event is free but donations will be appreciated.
