Half term fun at Northcote Heavy Horse Centre
If you’re looking for a fun family day out this half term when not visit The Northcote Heavy Horse Centre based in Great Steeping, Spilsby.
The centre will be open for visitors in the half term break on Sunday February 17, Monday February 18, Tuesday February 19 and Wednesday February 20.
Visitors are invited to meet the horses, learn about the various breeds as well as being able to take part in hands on grooming sessions and in the afternoon demonstrations will take place which you can also assist with.
Manager of the sanctuary which is a registered charity Terena Bolam said: “We are also looking for volunteers for helping with the horses and their training as well as voluntary help needed for running our shop and tea room for the visitor season which properly starts from Easter Sunday until October.”
New pony Orbit a miniature Shetland pony will be making his first appearance too and is sure to be a big hit with visitors.
Gates will be open at 11am. Gates close at 3.00 pm admission is by donation.
