It’s panto time again
Aladdin
Once again the Panto season has arrived at Louth Playgoers, and this year the stage will be filled with plenty of fun, laughter and song as the tale of Aladdin and his magic lamp is told.
This original and classic pantomime has the necessary ingredients for a first-class and spectacular production of this famous Oriental rags to riches tale.
Bursting with comedy and slapstick, courtesy of Widow Twankey, Wishee Washee and the two Chinese Policemen (Wong and Pong), this is a show that needs lots of audience participation from everyone aged four to 104!
Just watch out for Widow Twankey’s unique methods of doing laundry particularly with her faulty washing machine!!
If you’re ready to embark upon an unforgettable journey into the Land of the Magic Lamp, let this ‘in-genie-ous’ show make your wish come true!
Written by Alan Frayn and directed by Peter Maddison this is a family show with something for everyone.
With performances by Nicky Wright’s Studio 2000 dancers and a live band this is certainly one not to be missed.
The panto runs from Friday January 11 to Saturday January 19. Curtain up at 7.30pm and 2.30pm for the matinee.
