THE Sound of Music is staged by the Louth Playgoers at the Riverhead Theatre from Wednesday May 16 to Saturday May 26.

The musical is based on the memoirs of Maria von Trapp and follows the story of a nun, Maria Rainer, who leaves the convent to become a governess for the seven children of Captain Georg von Trapp.

It includes all the famous songs such as The Sound of Music, Maria, My Favorite Things and Edelweiss.
