UK Beach Boys surf into Grimsby Central Hall

Grimsby Central Hall’s first ever season of Summer concerts will reach its climax on Saturday August 3 at 8pm when the UK Beach Boys surf into town.

One band, more than any other, has captured the sound of Summer for all-time and this August is the 50th anniversary of the Beach Boys British chart debut.

Appropriately, Surfin’ USA was their first hit and the band went on to achieve an impressive 26 chart hits in this country, helping cement their status as America’s most successful rock band.

The UK Beach Boys enjoy the unique distinction of being the only tribute band to have appeared live on stage with the Beach Boys.

Since 2001, they have been wowing audiences throughout the UK and across Europe as they faithfully recreate that authentic and distinctive sound of golden harmonies.

Under the watchful eye of Adrian Baker, a former member of the Beach Boys, they have perfected a sound that is as close to the originals as possible.

Their show is totally live, no reliance on tracks or artificial backing, and features all the Beach Boys hits plus some of their lesser-known songs.

Kimberley Spauls, box office and marketing manager for the Central Hall, said, “This will be the best indoor beach party ever and it doesn’t matter about the weather outside because we guarantee sunshine all the way, together with those all important good vibrations.

“We hope people will enter into the fun of the night by digging out their baggies and Hawaiian shirts and recreating that spirit of West Coast America.”
