TWO Mablethorpe Air Cadets are preparing to take part in the Three Peaks challenge next weekend.

Carl Johnson, 31, and Scott Gardiner, 24, from the 1228 squadron are hoping to complete the challenge to raise £1,000 for Leukaemia Research UK.

Carl said: "We will be walking over 25 miles of footpaths climbing up Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Mount Snowdon in Wales."

The challenge is to complete all three mountains in under 24 hours, which includes travelling over 450 miles between them.
The duo have been loaned a car for the challenge by Thurlby motors and two drivers from 1073 Skegness air cadets.

Sponsorship donations can be left at Revolution, 39 High Street, Mablethorpe, who are supporting the duo.
