A SUTTON on Sea woman was assaulted in her home on New Year's Eve by a group of men who broke in and stole several items.
Police are appealing for any information on the aggravated burglary carried out at an address in Rossington Close between 10pm and 11pm on Thursday December 31.
Three men are believed to have forced entry into the home and stolen an Xbox, cash and jewellery.
During the burglary, the 32-year old woman, who was in her kitchen at the time the men entered the premises, was assaulted and sustained injuries including facial bruising.
She was taken to Boston's Pilgrim Hospital as a precautionary measure. Other occupants at the address, who were on the second floor, were unaware of the activity on the ground floor.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the offence, particularly anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity, vehicles or individuals in the area on New Year's Eve night.
One of the three suspects is described as in his thirties, of medium build, around six foot tall and wearing a black scarf over his face.
A further description includes a man wearing a dark coloured jacket, blue jeans, white trainers and a woolly hat underneath a hoody-type top.
