A certificate has been presented to Ian Swan (G3MNS), a member of the Eagle Radio Group, for his long service to amateur radio.
Ian has held his amateur radio callsign for over 50 years. The presentation was made by Tony Whitaker, who is normally to be found on the radio using his callsign ZL2RKL from the other side of the world in New Zealand.

Tony attended the October meeting of the Eagle Radio Group at The Boat Shed in Victoria Road where the group now meets. The Certificate was hand-crafted by Malcolm (G3ZUI), one of the radio group members and a very skilled calligraphist.

New members are always welcome; there is no membership fee and the meetings are free. The meetings are always on the second Tuesday of the month.

The group also runs free training courses. Why not pass this winter by learning a new skill! The Foundation Licence can be obtained in a very short time.
