COMEDY character John Shuttleworth visited Mablethorpe's Loewen Cinema on Friday.
Fans from Mablethorpe, Louth and Boston met the zany post-ironic comedian as he introduced his new film Southern Softies.
In a pre-show skit, John performed a couple of quirky songs on his trademark Yamaha keyboard including one about eating fish and chips in your car.
After complaining about the dilapidated state of his musical equipment, he said: "The equipment is all falling apart, so it's in keeping with the character of Mablethorpe."
At ehe end of the film, members of the audience were able to ask questions and obtain signed copies of the film on DVD.
John, played by actor Graham Fellows from Louth, has worked with such
comedy greats as Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, made television appearances in Coronation Street and Heartbeat, and several radio shows as well as the recent television advert for Yorkshire Tea.
He told the Leader: "I like to visit Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea, they are great for fish and chips."
