MEET Albie the rare albino seal now being nursed back to health at Mablethorpe's Seal Sanctuary and Nature Centre.

The eight week-old creature was rescued from Huttoft beach car terrace recently, after being discovered in distress by a member of the public.

The sanctuary's senior keeper Natalie Grice said: "Albie weighed just 31Ibs when he was discovered – and seals his age should weigh around 80 Ibs."

The creature was found with a bleeding mouth and rear flippers.
Although the cause of his injuries is unknown, it is believed the youngster got into trouble after being separated from his mother.

Natalie said: "It is very rare to find an albino seal as this is only the third one we have had here in 30 years."

She added: "It will be a couple more months before he is released but he certainly isn't out of the woods yet, so fingers crossed."
