DARING moves were on display for all who passed Mablethorpe's skate park over the weekend as a special fun prize-giving event was held.
Various trophies were handed out to those who achieved certain moves in skateboarding, BMX biking and in-line skating.

Margaret Codling, chair of the skate park committee who campaigned for the facilities in the town said: "It was a brilliant weekend, we had around 50 lads there on the Saturday – and on the Sunday we had four local girls on BMX bikes which was great to see.

"A lot of visitors came up to watch the action over the weekend, with one or two youngsters having a go themselves. I think it offers holidaymakers something different to watch and take part in."

The skate park, situated along the seafront near the main pullover, was officially opened for use in May.

Margaret explained how she is planning to campaign for more funding to extend the park in the new year. She added: "I would like to thank everybody who came along to support the event, and David Ives for donating the prizes, which he handed out to the winners."
