AN elderly lady was knocked over by a mobility scooter while queuing indoors at Mablethorpe Community Centre last week.
The woman, who has not been named, was attending the Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea Leg Club on Tuesday July 15 when the incident happened. The weekly clinic on Stanley Avenue offers treatment, information and advice on medical leg conditions for local residents.

A witness attending the club, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "A lady on a scooter waiting in the queue accidentally lurched forward and hit the woman in front, knocking her over. Unfortunately she panicked and instead of putting it into reverse kept moving further forward.

"It was lucky the floor was polished as the scooter pushed the lady about three yards across it rather than going over her. People gathered around to help and the clinic's nurses eventually immobilised the scooter."

He added: "You often hear of such accidents outside but you don't expect it indoors - I avoid them in supermarkets as they terrify me."

East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they attended the scene. A spokesperson said: "The lady sustained non serious injuries to her arm and was taken to Louth Hospital."
