THE Memorial Trust in Alford has received £2,000 to relay its most popular pathway at the town’s memorial park.
The grant is courtesy of the Co-operative’s Community Fund.
Angie Dewick-Eisle, from the Memorial Trust in Alford, said: “We are thrilled with the generous grant we have received.
“Our Memorial Trust park is run by trustees and volunteers, so grants like this are invaluable for improvements.
“We hope that all those visiting the park will enjoy using the pathways we are improving when the work is finished.”
The Co-operative Group’s Leigh Anderson said of the firm’s scheme: “It’s a scheme we’re very proud of, not only because it gives us the chance to thank members for shopping with us, but because so many people choose to give something back to local communities.”
