AN ANIMAL resuce centre in North Somercotes is appealing for bedding to help its animals through the cold winter months.
Susan Rice, who helps run Ark Animal Resuce, is also hoping that new homes can be found for the many dogs in their care.

One such dog is Star, a two-year-old black Labrador, who recently donated blood to try and save the life of another dog, Zac, but Zac died a few days after the blood tranfusion.

Star, who was found tied to a lamp post, has had a sad start to his young life and is typical of so many of the dogs at The Ark.

If you can help with bedding or feel you could provide a loving, warm home, please contact Susan Rice on 01507 358140.
