STUDENTS AT CORDEAUX School are flying high after Red Arrows Wing Commander, Jason Hawker opened their newly refurbished Engineering Suite.
The new engineering facility, which opened October 4, provides a 'state of the art' engineering environment including the latest high specification Computer Aided Design equipment enabling the school to fulfil its role as a Specialist Engineering College and lead partner for the new Engineering Diploma.
The centre was funded by the Learning and Skills Council – part of the successful £5.8 million Wolds College project.
Other guests to witness the official opening were Councillor Christine Talbot, chair of County Council Education Committee and Mayor Treanor.
Head teacher, Peter Kubicki said: "Our engineering facility is an excellent edition to the wider range of facilities across local schools and FE colleges, which will enhance the practical learning opportunities of young people.
