Monday 10.45am - LIFESIZE cardboard nurses who have 'voiceboxes' and can tell people to wash their hands are being placed at the entrances of hospital wards in Louth Hospital.
The new cut-out nurses contain a recorded message, which is activated by movement as people walk past.
This message asks people to clean their hands on arrival and before leaving the wards and is part of a drive to improve cleanliness and tackle infections at hospitals across the county.
The nurses will be placed at ward entrances at Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, Grantham and District Hospital and Louth County Hospital over the next few weeks.
They have been supplied to the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust by NHS East Midlands.
