Friday 3pm - A RECESSION fighting support service, launched by East Lindsey District Council is being used as an example for other councils to copy.
The service, which aims to help families hit hardest by the economic crisis has been branded one of the best by the Government's Improvement and Development Agency after it was launched six months ago in partnership with the district's Citizen's Advice Bureau.

Based at Skegness Magistrates Court, families across the district facing home repossession could seek support from the service.

Since January, the council has supported 23 residents and signposted many more to relevant agencies.

Portfolio Holder for Housing, Councillor John Upsall, said: "This shows residents are receiving some of the best support services in the country and we must continue to build on this. This year has been difficult for many people and we will continue to work hard to support those in our area".
