Freemasons help disabled girl

Thursday 8am - LOUTH Freemasons have raised money to buy a severely-disabled young lady a special mobility bicycle.
Barnardo's children's charity contacted members of the Louth lodge with their appeal to help fund a special Draisin Plus cycle-wheelchair – a bicycle converted to allow a disabled person to be ridden around by their carer.
The 20-year-old woman, who has not been named, is being cared for at Sense house in Monks Dyke Road. She is described by the charity as blind with severe learning difficulties and no speech.
Harry Forbes from the Lindsey Lodge said: "We felt this was a very worthy cause when we heard about this young lady's condition. The money was raised through various events held here and at another lodge in Skegness over the last few months."
The charity said this piece of equipment would increase her mobility and allow her to make more local outings.
