Thursday 2pm - A LOUTH family have managed to grow the biggest local sunflower of the summer - measuring a whopping 12ft and three inches.
Stephen Kemplay, 12, and sister Charlotte, 9, tended to the monster plant at their home in Monks Dyke Road.

Mum Trudy said their secret was splashing it with plenty of rain water collected in a bucket.
