Friday 8am - LOUTH Museum has been voted the second most popular museum to visit in the county.
It was praised in a People's Choice survey carried out by Lincolnshire Renaissance Heritage.
First place went to the Church Farm Museum in Skegness.
David Robinson, President of the Louth Naturalists, Antiquarian & Literary Society which runs the museum with volunteers, said: "We are delighted to be rated so highly in competition with local authority run museums.
"We display objects about our local heritage - carpets and bicycles made in Louth, the story of the Louth Flood and the ghost of the Green Lady of Thorpe Hall and exquisite woodcarvings rated the best in the UK.
"There are children's activity days in August and in September there will be a special exhibition of recently discovered paintings by Louth artist Leslie Keys."
Louth Museum in Broadbank is open until the end of October, Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.
