Thursday 8am - A CHARITY run and walk raised £2,500 for five local charities.
The event which took place recently at the Kenwick Park Hotel Health and Leisure Club was in memory of Helen Rysdale, a district nurse from Manby and popular member of the club who loved spending time there exercising and socialising who died recently.
More than 200 people took part in a three and a half mile run around the Kenwick grounds and a one and a half mile walk around the nearby Lincolnshire Rural Activities Centre.
The event started and finished at the Health and Leisure Club where entrants gave a donation to participate.
Helen's father David Gelsthorpe said: "It was the first time so we were just seeing how it went but it went very well and there was a really nice atmosphere".
A presentation to representatives of the charities who benefitted was held at the Health and Leisure Club.
The money raised was shared between Louth Hospice, Riding for Disabled, Louth Jumbulance and LIVES First Responders.
