Monday 8am - GRANTS of £500 are available for Louth groups from a charity which says many people are unaware of its existence.
The Marian and Leslie Howe Fund was set up in 2000 by Brian Howe, a disabled teacher from Louth, in memory of his parents. Despite his disabilities Mr Howe was a well known and active teacher and retired to live in Louth.

The fund gives around £500 each to registered organisations that care for the elderly or disabled in the town.

Michael Kerrigan, trustee for the fund, said: "Despite our best efforts, however, a number of such organisations appear to be unaware of the existance of the charity."

To apply for money write to: Janet Riley, Treasurer, 3 Cuppleditch Way, Louth, Lincs LN11 OUF.
