PLANS by Lincolnshire Highways to install a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Keddington Road and North Holme Road are being supported by Louth Town Council.
Although Coun David Wing and Coun Jill Makinson-Sanders queried whether it was an approriate location, most members were in favour.
The Mayor, Coun Fran Treanor, felt it would have the effect of slowing traffic, while Coun Pauline Watson believed it would be particularly beneficial to children.
"It's the proper place," insisted Coun Clive Finch.
It is not known when work will start on the project.
