Thursday 1.30pm - A LOUTH tennis coach who once played Andy Murray says the tennis ace can go all the way at Wimbledon this year.
Professional coach Ed Allinson trains tennis players with the Louth Tennis United club.

In the past he has played against Andy Murray and his brother Jamie.

Ed said: "Andy and I are the same age. I played against him, he won, and I played a few tournaments with him as well.

"I played his brother Jamie as well and I won one of those matches.

"Andy was the best of his age group. I think he'll win it this year."

The Louth Tennis United club, set up in December last year, aims to encourage people of all ages, but primarily children, to take up tennis as a form of exercise and offer them training in competitive sport.

The club is hoping the popularity of Wimbledon and Andy Murray this year will get more people playing.

The club is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and holds training courses at the tennis courts in Charles Street.
