TODDLERS and young children from North Somercotes Play Group embarked on a challenging, yet comfortable quest to raise money for their Christmas presents and running of their playgroup – raising £600.
North Somercotes Playgroup based at the Trinity Methodist Chapel in the village set off on a mile and a quarter walk around the village dressed in their pajamas with a goal of raising £200.
And after a determined trek, the little ones were pleased when they had trebled their target.
Supervisor of the play group Julie Sharp said: "It was absolutely fantastic. The children walked a mile and a quarter and they are only two to four-years-old, it was wonderful."
