Tuesday 8am - PEOPLE who use a vital service for older people in Louth have spoken of their sadness at its closure.
As previously reported, the Link Day Centre in Virginia Drive has closed after 34 years because of a lack of volunteers.

Volunteers collected pensioners from Louth and surrounding villages and took them to the centre where they enjoyed a cooked meal and companionship.

One lady who attended the day centre thanked the volunteers for all they have done and said: "The closing of this social group will leave a huge gap in my life."
