Friday 1.45pm - IT'S official – we are happy to live in Lincolnshire!
A new survey reveals 82 per cent of people in the county are happy with their area as a place to live – compared with a national average of 80 per cent.

Councils across Lincolnshire have asked householders what they think about their local community as part of the national Place Survey – a central government scheme run locally by county and district councils.

The survey covered issues such as access to decent and affordable housing, suitable amenities for young people, parks and open spaces for recreation and shopping facilities.

In total, 11,993 residents responded to 18 questions. People were asked for their opinions on health services, fire and rescue and council services such as refuse collection, recycling and libraries.

The findings will help to pinpoint areas where services could be improved.
