A RED diamond shaped UFO has been spotted hovering over the skies of North Somercotes by a local woman.

The 75 year-old, who asked not to be named, had the strange encounter back in early February but is only now coming forward with her sighting after reading our report on the Lincolnshire Triangle UFO mystery.

She said: "I was in the car with my husband on the road to North Somercotes at around 5pm and we stopped in the road to wait for the car in front to manoeuvre round a lorry. While we were sitting there I glanced out my window to the left and saw this strange red object in the sky and thought 'what the devil is that?'"

The woman described the object as diamond in shape with four 'spotlights' on each corner: "It didn't make a sound and was just static in the air. I turned to my husband and said 'can you see that up there?' and when I tuned back it had gone. I looked everywhere but it had just vanished from the skies."

She added: "I'm 100% certain I saw what I saw, I don't believe in UFOs but this was very strange."
