CHARITY Age UK are calling out for people in Louth to help older and disabled people know about the help available to them from the Switchover Help Scheme.
The charity has joined forces with well known broadcaster and former Tomrrow’s World presenter Maggie Philbin to help the people of Louth know of the help available to them just in time for the digital TV switchover in August and September.
The Helping Hand campaign urges people to pledge their support for the Switchover Help Scheme and simply tell eligible people about the help available, help fill out an application form or to call the Help Scheme so they can get the help they are entitled to.
Pam Davies, Regional Manager for Age UK in the Yorkshire & Humber region said: “We can all lend a helping hand by making sure that older and disabled members of our community know about the help they can get from the Help Scheme.”
The Help Scheme has written to every eligible person in Louth with the offer of help. To get the help they are entitled to, people must reply by returning their form or by calling the Help Scheme free on 0800 40 85 900.
