1228 Mablethorpe Air Cadets held their annual presentation evening at Monks Tennyson College recently.

Cadets were presented, with a wide range of certificates and trophies for achievements made within the Air Cadet Organisation and the community. The ‘Most Outstanding Cadet’ was awarded to Ben Horner who has shown 100 per cent dedication over the last two years. He has inspired new cadets and always leads by example, achieving the highest standards in all areas. Even through the toughest of times, he has continued to smile and show his commitment to the squadron. The ‘Best Cadet’ award, chosen by the cadets themselves, was presented to Gioiachino Lippolis.

Commanding officer, Warrant Officer Scott Gardiner said: “It has been a phenomenal year of successes which I am extremely proud of. I would like to thank all the cadets for their continued enthusiasm and commitment to the unit in moving it forward to achieving even greater things.

“Also, a big thank you to all the staff involved in the unit, without them none of this would be possible and to the parents and committee for their support.”
