Alcohol order could be imposed on Sutton on Sea problem road

ALCOHOL restrictions could be imposed on the Colonnade in Sutton on Sea in an attempt to curb anti-social behaviour.

Mablethorpe Town Council will revisit the prospect of a Designated Public Places Order (DPPO) at Monday’s planning committee meeting.

If imposed, police officers would have powers to confiscate alcohol from people in the street and enforce fines.

The idea was initially mooted early last year and data has been collected by the police over the last 12 months which will help make the decision.
