A charity coffee morning hosted by Alford Brownies has raised £350 for Billy’s House, a charity that supports families of young cancer sufferers.

The fundraiser took place at Alford Methodist Church on Saturday morning, and was organised by Alford Brownie Leader, Emma Wrenn, whose young daughter Keira has been fighting a rare brain tumour since summer this year.

Billy’s House, which is part of children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent, relies on voluntary donations and helps to provide accommodation for families of young patients when they have long visits to hospital for cancer treatment.
