The Louth and District Branch of the Royal British Legion recently held their Annual General Meeting.
When the meeting was officially opened, it began with an Act of Remembrance by chairman of the committee.
Minutes of the previous AGM were read by the Secretary A Warne and accepted through the chair as a true record. Treasurer, B Papworth presented the accounts and reported all in order. G Robertson then indicated that he would be willing to continue as president when asked by the chairman. As this is a non elective post there was no need for a vote.
When it came down to choosing the committee members for this year, all the previous positions were unchanged and everyone was happy to continue in their roles for what they hope will be another successful year.
The chairman thanked all officers for their efforts over the last year and wished all members and the residents of Louth and District a prosperous New Year for 2015.
