A WOMAN has climbed 19,341 feet up Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa to raise money for the Louth and District Hospice.

Amy Nicholson from York is the grandaughter of Frank Nicholson who donated the land off the A16 where the hospice is being built.

She said: “They need every penny they can get to provide much needed support and resources to terminally ill patients.” The money is still being counted but people can still support Amy’s climb by going to www.justgiving.com/amy-nicholson
