Archers in the area have now got their bows into full swing as the new season of the Louth and District Archery Club’s first Indoor League has now begun.

The club is open to all Archery GB members using Olympic style recurve bows. Rounds will be held on the second and fourth Sunday of every month from October through to March 2016, with each months totals being added and awards made for first, second and third.

Each round will take the form of a Bray I round, so archers will shoot 30 arrows at a 40cm target 20 yards away.

Club member Mark Jackson commented: “I am looking forward to the change from shooting outside at large targets from a long distance to moving inside when we shoot a small targets at close range”.

For those wanting to take up archery, come to one of their open sessions on a Saturday afternoon, 12noon-4pm or a Tuesday evening, 6-8pm. They meet at the back of Tedder Hall in Manby.

Contact senior coach Derek on 01507 600319 for more info or search for their official Facebook page.
