YOUR memories could be brought back to life through sculpture at this year’s Bathing Beauties Festival in September.
Designer Kate Dawn is looking for inspiration from local people’s memories from the 1940s and 1950s to create a piece of art for the weekend coastal festival.
She said: “Whenever I do a piece of work, the primary aim is for it to be relevant to its surroundings and the history and lives of the people to be its inspiration.
“I like my work to be on a more personal level which is why, when I heard about the Bathing Beauties Festival, I wanted to get some real life stories about Mablethorpe from the people who have lived and worked there.
“Photographs are also encouraged as the sculpture will involve some sort of period costume.”
