Australian thriller is set for Louth Film Club

Mystery Road, a stylish Australian thriller, directed by Ivan Sen is set to be shown at Louth Film Club (LFC) on Monday, August 24.

After the discovery of a teenager’s body under a road used by truckers, detective Jay Swan (Aaron Pedersen) leads the investigation.

It’s a tale of racism towards the Aborigines in the soul-sapping, sun-scorched nihilism of an outback community, told with an underlying and refreshing humanity. The show starts at 7.30pm at the Playhouse Cinema in Cannon Street, Louth. Membership of the club costs £10 with £4 for each film (£6.50 for non-members; £5.20 for concessions).
