DRIVING wind and rain failed to stop local runners in their tracks as 36 brave souls tackled the first ever Authorpe Fun Run.
Overall £160 was raised by the event, to be split between LIVES First Responders and Authorpe Village Hall.
Johannes King was first to finish the six-mile course in 39 minutes 44 seconds, beating Chris Bromfield to the line by exactly a minute.
The first female runner back was Debbie Simpson, who finished 12th overall with a time of 46 minutes 34 seconds.
The run was also a celebration of the upcoming Queen’s Jubilee, and every runner received a commemorative medal.
