Following the sell out success of “A Little Bit of Blackpool by the Lud” charity tea dance last November, Louth Town Hall has announced that it will return throughout 2014.
Four tea dances are scheduled, all on a Thursday, with doors opening from 1.30pm and dancing from 2pm.
The dates for your diary are March 6, May 15, October 9 and December 4.
Every tea dance will include an afternoon tea.
Joanne Naulls, the international organ star from Lincolnshire, will once again be playing the Town Hall’s Compton organ for all of the tea dances. Her dance music was well received at the event last year, where all 130 tickets quickly sold out.
The event, organised by Majorie Barnes, raised over £500 for the Louth and District Hospice.
The tea dances this year will continue to raise money for the hospice, with the aim of providing extra beds.
Andy Howlett, Chief Executive of Louth Town Hall, said “We are delighted that ‘A bit of Blackpool’ is back at the Town Hall.
“It was a great afternoon and it raised a large amount for charity.
“It is returning with the same format, including Joanne performing her magic on the Compton.
“So get your dancing shoes ready, come and enjoy yourself Blackpool style in the splendour of the Town Hall and help us raise money for local charities.”
Tickets are now on sale from the Town Hall, but are expected to sell quickly.
Either pop in to the Town Hall to pay with cash, or call Andy Howlett on 01507 354336 or 07860 402967 to arrange payment by cheque.
