A 23-year-old local woman has died in a road traffic collision in North Thoresby.
Emergency services were called to Fen Lane at 7.45am this morning (Friday) after a red Toyota Yaris left the road and entered a water-filled ditch. Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
The victim has been named locally as Louisa Conway, who lived in Ulceby in North Lincolnshire, and was a member of teaching staff at a school in the Mablethorpe area.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident. Anyone who saw the red Yaris prior to the collision is asked to contact the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855.
Road closures are in place and drivers are asked to follow diversions.
Lincolnshire Police have said that this latest tragedy brings to 35 the number killed on Lincolnshire’s roads in 2014, compared with 32 at the same point last year.
