A PETROL station in Louth has seen a ‘considerable increase’ in fuel buying over the last 48 hours the Leader can reveal.
John Darke Ltd located on Grimsby Road has seen an increase in sales both today (Tuesday) and yesterday (Monday).
Colin Darke commented: “We have seen an considerable increase in customers purchasing fuel both today and yesterday.
“The majority of people are coming in to fully fill up. Deliveries are coming in normally at the moment, but it will cause us a problem if deliveries are late.”
This increase in fuel sales has come forward after a strike from fuel tanker drivers has moved one step closer after they have voted ‘yes’ to take action.
The dispute is over terms and conditions and safety standards.
