BREAKING NEWS: Man stole from Louth jewellery shop

POLICE are hunting a man who stole jewllery from a Louth jewellery shop.

At about 4.30pm on Tuesday a man entered the shop in Eastgate and asked to view bracelets and chains.

He then grabbed a stand containing several pieces of jewellery and fled the shop in the direction of Queen Street, down towards the bus station.

It is believed the offender left Louth with a number of other persons in a ‘R’ registered black vauxhall Astra which was then involved in two minor collisions on Kenwick Road and on the A157 Legbourne Road. The vehicle did not stop at the scene of either of the collisions.

Nobody was injured in any of the incidents.

The man who entered the shop is described as approximately six ft tall with dark hair and was smartly dressed in dark trousers, white shirt and dark overcoat or jacket.
