SUPERMARKET giant Tesco’s plans for a superstore in Station Road, Mablethorpe took another step forward this morning (Thursday).
Members of East Lindsey District Council’s planning committee supported the plans subject to the signing of an S106 agreement.
The agreement would see Tesco build the town a new leisure centre in Stanley Avenue to replace the existing one which would be demolished to make way for the supermarket.
Councillors initially were ‘minded to approve’ the application at their planning meeting in December, and were satisfied this morning that their concerns were addressed.
Don’t miss the Mablethorpe Leader next week for the full report of the council meeting and local reaction.
